Coastal had outgrown its youthful image as a film production company and was emerging as a formidable presence in the industry. However, they were determined not to lose the spirit, the heart, and the sense of fun that often dwindles as companies expand. Coastal's priority was to ensure that the people behind and in front of the camera remained at the core of their identity, and this essence should shine through in their brand.
The visual identity we crafted for Coastal embodies a polished and refined appearance. Our aim was to ensure that the content created by Coastal takes center stage. This is why we adopted a minimalistic approach in nearly every aspect of the brand's visual representation. The website, uncluttered yet stylish, provides ample space for the content to shine. We subtly infused hints of nostalgia and spontaneity here and there, along with a pinch of playful charm to underscore that Coastal retains its heart and spirit.
The key lies in the tagline: "Moving pictures and people." Just like in a compelling movie, we've given Coastal a thematic core: (e)motion. This encapsulates the essence of their work - the harmonious blend of skill and passion, efficiency, and moments of joy on set. It's a tale of people and moving pictures, a love story where creation intertwines with a genuine passion for the process.
